J E S U S part 3

 Jesus is our Creator.

John 1:1-3 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made"

Please notice three things here: First, it is talking about a different person other than God, second, it says He was with God, so there are two persons, third, the Word and He are in capital letters.

The question is who is it talking about and how do we know it is talking about Jesus? Oh it is simple. Lets us read John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" There, we have it. Who was not in the flesh but became flesh? Jesus, and who dwelt among us? Jesus.

Let us look at another text. Colossians 1:15-17 "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist" Wow! This is wonderful. Everything and anything, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible were created by Jesus.

This is fantastic.

I love Jesus more now, do you? I hope so.

One last text. Hebrews 1:1-2 "God, (the Father) who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to our fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, (Jesus) whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He (the Father) made the worlds"

I want to have Jesus as my friend, don't you? I hope so. Everything was made by Him and everything belongs to Him.
