THE GOSPEL part 5



This week we are concluding our blogs about the Gospel, and we will like to take a look at the power of the Gospel in a person. Let's take the apostle Paul for example, in the book of Acts 9: 1-19 we find the story of Paul's encounter with Jesus (the true Gospel)
Paul was on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians, as his custom was, except that this time the Gospel, Jesus, appeared to him on a light shining to his face and asking, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? We read that the power of the light and words of Jesus made Paul fall off his horse and loose his sight.
As a result of Paul's encounter with the Person of Jesus he converted from persecutor of Christians to one of them, he became a believer, a preacher, teacher and writer of the Gospel. The power of the Gospel changed him. In Romans 1: 16 he wrote, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jews first and also for the Greek.
Dear friends, if you have not accepted and believed Jesus, the true Gospel, I would like to invite you to do so. He will give you peace, he will give you hope for salvation in eternal life. As He is a power, he can heal you and he can changed you if need be. He is the power of God to salvation. If you already accepted him in your life please don't be ashamed of him, share him with others so that they too can receive faith and hope for their salvation. God bless you.

T E M P T A T I O N part 3

  In our last blog we saw that it is the devil who tempts us and he is so bad that no one escapes his temptations, we also read that he does it because he wants to destroy people, but we read that we must do three things not to fall into temptation; we must be sober, vigilant, and resist the devil. Today we are going to read Hebrews 2:18 "For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted. He is able to aid those who are tempted" Yes, He (Jesus) is able, and I should add, that He is not just able, He is ready and willing to aid (Help) those of us when we are tempted. What do we do when we need help? We ask, right? Then every time we find out that we are tempted we must call upon Jesus for help, and be confident that He will help. 2-Peter 2:9 says that the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations. Mount Up With Wings As Eagles

  The eagle is the bird that flights the highest, up to 10.000 feet. The eagle is not afraid of the storms, in fact he likes the storms because he takes advantage of the storm to flight high. When the eagle sees the storm coming he launches into flight to ascend in a spiral manner, upward, upward, upward until the storm passes, but in the process he finds himself closer to the light of the sun. Other birds and animals when they see the storm coming they get afraid, run to hide and to find protection. Christians who wait and trust in the Lord are like eagles, they see the storm coming and they prepare to ascend upward, upward, and upward closer in their experience with the Lord, the sun of righteousness. Every storm the Christian faces makes him/her stronger and stronger ready to defeat a bigger storm.
