The Truth part 4

Image
This is our last part on The Truth, for the time being, and our main Bible text is Psalm 119: 142 which says, "Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your Law is Truth" Ecclesiastes 11: 13 says, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is Man's all" Yes the Law of God which contains the 10 commandments is Truth. As we all know if we read the Bible that the 10 commandments, the Law of God were given from the beginning, and amazingly as we know that the Law was not only written by God but He wrote them with His ginger on tables of stone. The Law of God reveals His love and Character, the 10 commandments are as a fence of protection with 10 posts, it protects society, protects our families, our parents, our children, our marriages, our neighbors, our property, and more. In conclusion, I must say that to know and to have the Truth we must know and have the whole truth which is in God the Father...

The Truth part 3

In john 17:17 Jesus prayed to the Father for his disciples. He prayed, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth" As we can see here Jesus declares that the word of God (the Bible) is truth. If we want to be Sanctify then, we must desire the truth, search for the truth, find the truth, embrace the truth, believe the truth, live by the truth, and share the truth. The Word of God, the Holy Bible. Now the question is; What does it mean to be sanctified? Jesus prayed that His disciples then and now, be sanctify. Sanctify is: to be set apart for a holy use, to declare holy, to consecrate, to purify, to cleanse, to redeem, to vindicate. Wow! all these blessings and much more we can all receive if we only take the word of God as a complete guide for our lives. I suggest we say as the prophet Jeremiah said in Jeremiah 15: 16, "Your words were found, and I ate them. And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of Host...

The Truth part 2

Last week we started this theme with the question, what is Truth? this week as we continue studying about the Truth we will be asking, who is the Truth? The first text we will read is John 14: 6 Jesus said, "I am the way, the Truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" Jesus is the Truth. Second text is also in John, but 16: 13, and Jesus declared, "However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth; For He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; And He will tell you things to come" The Holy Spirit is Truth. Last text is John 7:28, Jesus said, "You both know Me, and you know where I am from; And I have not come of myself, but who sent Me is True, whom you do not know" The Father is also Truth. Ok let us conclude by saying that Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Father are the Truth. Therefore having only one or two of the three will be having only part of the Truth. You ...

THE TRUTH

What is Truth? Truth is Veracity Truth is a Reality Truth is The Fact of the Matter. John 8: 31-32 "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believe Him, "If you abide in My word you are my disciples indeed, And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free" Here Jesus was talking to Jews, religious people, those who believed in Him, but He told them that if they abide in His word they would be his true disciples. Furthermore, Jesus said to those Jews, to those new believers that they shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make them free. From these two verses I learn three things; one, that been a religious person does not necessarily makes us true disciples of Jesus Christ. Those Jews were already religious, and yet they were not true disciples. Two, that in order to be a true disciple one must abide in his word, to follow the Bible instructions and live according to the word. Three, that if we want to be free we need to know the Truth. We will be studying ...

The Bible part 5

This is the last blog about the Bible, for this time, and again we are going to use two Bible texts to continue answering the question: Why are there so many different religions in the world, and why they teach different things, and they all claim to base their teachings from the Bible? Hebrew 4:12 tells us that the Bible is like a two-edged sword. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and even sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart". This could be one of the reasons for so many different interpretations and teachings of the Bible. That is because the Bible is a two-edged sword, which means it can be used to support different isolated ideas. Our second text is Isaiah 28:10, and this should be the formula of Bible interpretation, because the Bible doesn't contradict itself "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, ...
