The Bible part 4

 In weeks past we studied that the Bible is the word of God, that it will stand forever, that it is good for our instructions in life, and that it can be good only if we study it daily as we eat the material food, we must eat the spiritual food, the Bible.

This week let us think; If the Bible is so amazing in all the above mentioned areas, why is there still so much confusion and differences between Bible students, teachers and preachers?
To answer this question let us read a couple of texts from the Bible, the first is from Jeremiah 9: 23-24 "Thus says the Lord: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Let not the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me. That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgement, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the Lord"
Aha!, God says that we need to understand Him and know him, and that He delights when we can do that. Our next text is 2-Peter 3: 16 "As also in all epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people TWIST to their own perdition, as they do also the rest of the scriptures"
Oh!, now se see what the potential problem is; Unstable and untaught people TWIST the Bible to their own perdition, and I should add that some preachers and Bible teachers TWIST the Bible not just to their own perdition but also that of their listeners and followers.
What should we do then not to TWIST the Bible and not to let others teach us the wrong thing, so that we can get to know God and understand Him? I suggest to read it under prayer and humility asking God to sent His holy spirit help us understand what we read. Blessings to all.

The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah

  Revelation 5: 5 says, "And one of the elders saith unto me, "Weep not: Behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof"" It is easy and common to think of Jesus as a lamb; by its tenderness, gentleness, and even submissiveness, but it is not common to think of Him as a lion. It is the Bible however that says it. There must be a reason for it. Let us read what Jacob was telling his twelve sons about their future, in Genesis 49: 8-9 "Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son thou art gone up; he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as old lion; who shall rouse him up?
