This week we are concluding our blogs about the Gospel, and we will like to take a look at the power of the Gospel in a person. Let's take the apostle Paul for example, in the book of Acts 9: 1-19 we find the story of Paul's encounter with Jesus (the true Gospel) Paul was on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians, as his custom was, except that this time the Gospel, Jesus, appeared to him on a light shining to his face and asking, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? We read that the power of the light and words of Jesus made Paul fall off his horse and loose his sight. As a result of Paul's encounter with the Person of Jesus he converted from persecutor of Christians to one of them, he became a believer, a preacher, teacher and writer of the Gospel. The power of the Gospel changed him. In Romans 1: 16 he wrote, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jews first and also for...

  Last week we finished our blog with two biblical texts, one in Matthew 24:14 where Jesus said, “This Gospel of the Kingdom” we already established earlier that Gospel is Good News, and that good news is Jesus, so when He says, “This Gospel” is speaking of itself, because He is the good news, He is the Gospel. Gospel of the Kingdom? yes because the Kingdom belongs to him. Let us see for example Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14 The prophet Daniel saw in a vision when God the Father (The Elder of Days) gave the Kingdom to his son, Jesus. Also in Luke 1:30-33 it tells us that the angel spoke to the virgin Mary informing her that the kingdom of her baby would have no end. Also in Matthew 28:18 Jesus said to his disciples that all authority has been given to him in heaven and on earth. Greetings. Last week we read in Galatians 1: 6-9 that there is only one Gospel, and that the reason there seems to be many gospels is because many teachers, (preachers) have perverted the Gospel of Christ to confuse the people. Paul the Apostle also tells us that if anyone comes to us with a different, a perverted gospel, not to receive him and to let him be accursed. this word accursed is a very heavy word, it means to be: Dislike, detested, abominable, and despicable, yes, that is how Paul says to consider a person or the gospel he speaks if it is not the true and genuine Gospel. Here is the big question now, How can one identify a perverted gospel? Well in order to identify a counterfeit bill one must know very well the real, genuine, and authentic bill. It is the same with the Gospel, one must know very well the real, genuine, and authentic Gospel to be able to detect the fake, perverted, and counterfeit gospel.   Last week we found out that the Gospel is a "Good News", this week we are going to see if there are many gospels or if there is and should be only one. It is estimated that there are about 4200 different religions in the world, but it is also estimated that there are five major internationally known religions, which are: Christianism, Islamism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Hinduism. So it means that all the 4200 religions are branched off from one of these five major big religions. It is interesting to note that even though many of these religions have some similarities they are still different from each other. Why are there so many religions? is the common question, and a great number of them preach the gospel, uses the bible, pray, etc. This in fact is very confusing for many people, because, how do one knows which religion is teaching and preaching the truth, or which one is better even?
